We met during a photography assignment at Hallmark Institute of Photography, photographing a drill bit company (yep, really!).

After graduating, we each opened our own studios at 20. One in Stow, the other in West Brookfield and didn’t reconnect until three years later through a professional photographers' group.
What started as a business chat turned into drinks, then dating, then marriage at 25.

Now, with 4 kids, a shared studio, and a deep love for Disney and timeless portraits, we run our photography business together capturing stories and building one of our own.

Barnes Portrait Design is a husband and wife photography team based in East Brookfield, MA. With a passion for capturing meaningful moments, they combine their artistic vision and years of experience to create timeless portraits. While their studio is nestled in Central Massachusetts, they happily travel wherever your story takes them.
