What if my kids don't want to cooperate?
As parents ourselves, we are totally used to tantrums, arguments, and all the loud messy chaos that comes along with little ones. Kids are unpredictable, which is what makes them one of our favorite things to document.
What should my baby wear?
Simple is best! Most newborn photos are taken swaddled or with minimal clothing to highlight those tiny features. We have wraps, blankets, and props available, but feel free to bring any special outfits or sentimental items you’d like included.
How should I prepare my child for their session?
Try to keep your child’s schedule as normal as possible on the day of the session. Make sure they’re well-fed and rested. Bring along their favorite toy or snack for comfort. Most importantly—stay relaxed and positive. Kids feed off your energy, and a calm parent helps create a fun, easygoing atmosphere.
Can parents and siblings be in the photos?
Absolutely! Family and sibling photos are always encouraged. Just let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly and recommend wardrobe options for a cohesive look.
When is the best time to schedule a newborn session?
The ideal time for newborn portraits is within the first 5–14 days after birth. During this window, babies are still very sleepy and can be gently posed for those classic, curled-up shots.
What should we bring to the session?
For newborns, bring extra diapers, bottles or nursing supplies, a pacifier (even if baby doesn’t usually take one), and any meaningful props you’d like to include. For kids, snacks, a drink, a favorite toy or comfort item, and a change of clothes (just in case!) are always a good idea. We have plenty of props and setups available, but personal touches make your session unique!
